Recently devastating earthquakes have rocked Japan and destroyed many of its beautiful monuments.

Years before in 2005, I was fortunate enough to travel to Japan. Today I  want to share my architectural travel experience to Kansai, Japan .

Here we go….:

My flight had landed at Kansai International Airport which was an ‘island airport‘ situated in the middle of the ocean, connected to the peninsula by a bridge.

Such a ‘high-tech’ building to portray Japan’s high technology in architectural and engineering sectors.

You should experience the train service…sooo efficient!…<——my recommendation.

In Japan, I visited Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Kobe, & Toyama (northern area). O ut of all, I was taken away by Kyoto’s beauty, since it is well known as The Ancient City.

The place was so beautiful as it reminds me of the movie ‘Memoir’s of a Geisha’.

There are so many shinto shrine temples as many of the japanese are shinto followers. I was attracted to the  ‘chilli’ red colour.

The style of most of the dwellings were influenced by ZEN, which can be compared to minimalist style.

Although I wasn’t into Zen Buddhism architectural style,  I was  keen to learn how to create such a peaceful surrounding scenery. To my knowledge, the real Islamic architecture has such meaningful and calm views too.

Kyoto is so rich with culture that it made me feel like i was really in a different country.
